PEERS for Adolescents is an evidence-based social skills program for adolescents in middle and high school who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection.


Participants are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

Participants will learn about:

  • Developing and maintaining friendships
  • Conversational skills
  • Entering and exiting conversations
  • Appropriate use of humor
  • Handling disagreements
  • Electronic communication
  • Being a good sport
  • Organizing get-togethers
  • Handling teasing and bullying
  • Changing a reputation

Raising a teen or young adult who’s wrestling with mental health, substance use, neurodivergence, or those big life transitions?

Facilitated by Moumita Si Pallachulla— a certified Educational Therapist, Special Education Advocate, Neurodiverse Career Coach, and President of Learning COMET INC.—these sessions are bursting with wisdom, practical ideas, and a big dose of “you’ve got this” energy.

GROUP 1: Parents of Teens Group (children 13-18 years)

For parents of teens navigating mental health, emotional dysregulation, school refusal, behavioral challenges, or transitioning out of treatment.

Sessions: First Fridays of EVERY MONTH: JUNE 6, JULY 11, Aug 1, SEPT 5, OCT 3, NOV 7, DEC 5

For parents of young adults navigating mental health, figuring out their path, navigating early recovery, or tackling issues like anxiety, motivation, or executive functioning.
